Nague launches book on Customs Modernization and Tariff Act

Year:
2016

NMM proudly announces the launch of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act authored by its managing partner, Atty. Ferdinand A. Nague.

The book launch was held at the Manila Hotel last June 28, 2016 where more than 300 guests from various sectors attended.

The author, Atty. Nague, is one of the technical experts who drafted the bill, which is now known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA). The passage of the CMTA seeks to transform the Bureau of Customs into a modern and efficient organization at par with global standard to simplify import and export procedures.

The book will serve as an effective guide for all those operating in the field of the Bureau of Customs, its allied partners and agencies, students and teachers of customs, trading and tariff management, and the transacting public.

Aside from the CMTA, Atty. Nague is also the author of the leading book on tariff and customs, entitled “Handbook on the Tariff and Customs Code of the Philippines and the Customs Brokers Act of 2004.”
